Common questions

Level 6 Supervisory Management, answered

Do I need a Level 5 award before this course?

The standard entry is a Level 5 Certificate or equivalent in a relevant area. If you do not have one but have real healthcare experience, contact us anyway: suitability is assessed individually and experience genuinely counts.

What is the difference between Level 5 and Level 6?

Level 5 prepares you to do the work. Level 6 prepares you to be responsible for how the work is done: supervising people, managing conflict and carrying accountability for a team or service. On the National Framework of Qualifications it is the next step up.

Can I do this while working full time in care?

That is exactly who the course is designed for. Classes run live on a set schedule over Zoom with classroom days for the practical elements, and the 12 to 15 month duration reflects a pace that working learners can sustain.

Will my employer recognise this award?

It is a full QQI major award at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications, the standard reference employers and HR departments use in Ireland.
