Common questions

Choosing a course

What is the difference between Healthcare Support and Nursing Studies?

Healthcare Support prepares you to work as a healthcare assistant. Nursing Studies covers more theory, such as anatomy and physiology and nursing practice, and suits learners planning to apply for a nursing degree. If you are weighing the two, talk to us and we will go through it with you.

Are these full QQI awards?

Yes. All four are QQI major awards of 120 credits on the National Framework of Qualifications: three at Level 5 and one at Level 6. They are nationally recognised qualifications, not short certificates.

Can I study while working full time?

Most of our learners are adults balancing work and family. Classes run on a set schedule over Zoom with classroom days for practical skills, so you can plan around them. Contact us for the current timetable and we will tell you honestly whether it fits your situation.

Still deciding?
